Week 1
This module is centred around working with the universities drama department to create an animated backdrop sequence for them to use alongside their performance from which they plan to use on their tour of their adaptation of: 'Haroun and the sea of stories' by Salman Rushdie. Before beginning work on concept design and other such areas, we will have to have a meeting with the Drama students as to what their vision is for the backdrop. While waiting for our meeting with the Drama department, we had a look over the plot summary and began initial idea grabbing from our own interpretations of the play, to suggest at the meeting. One of the guidelines we were given right away was that the animation would be presented through 3 circular windows. This to me seemed like a large restriction to our animating capabilities. as it would cut out large areas of the animation. Hopefully this will push us to work outside of our comfort zones and find creative ways around this limitatio
